The FCC will hold a second hearing (PDF) looking at whether ISPs, especially Comcast, are improperly blocking, throttling or otherwise limiting consumer access to peer-to-peer applications like BitTorrent. This one will take place at Stanford University on April 17 no other details (like building, time, etc.) were released, just this generic description:
The Commission will hear from expert panelists regarding broadband network management practices and Internet-related issues.

In the world where chip technology improves exponentially, acoustic engineering isnt so simple and it presents a huge hurdle to overcome to the world of telephony and video conferencing. Canadian teens 13-17 are actually online less than Canadian adults - 13 hours per week as opposed to 19 hours, according to Ipsos Reid. 54% of respondents said their parents place time limits or curfews on their internet time. The internet is of less importance - only 37% agree that using the internet is an important part of their day (compared with 51% of adults).

Sybase has now released the iAnywhere solution for bringing enterprise emails to the Apple iPhone. We blogged on this just a few days ago.
Based on the reaction, Sybase will get a lot more evaluation for their mobile messaging solution, even though its designed to work with most all mainstream smartphones. Email will be killer app for enterprises until more apps come up via the SDK and developer participation.

Best Buy said Wednesday that it will send a $50 gift card to any poor soul that bought a HD-DVD player.
The tally will run about $10 million in gift cards, says Best Buy in a statement. So if you bought an HD-DVD player before Feb. 23the approximate day HD-DVD died as a formatyoull get a gift card sent to you.
